One good use for Ning, it dawned on me, is to create high school alumni sites. All the other sites give you a taste and then nail you by charging you for something really useful. Where’s the fun in that? Ning, on the other hand, is free.
I think the best feature for creating alumni sites on Ning is that you can create groups for each class. This means that they can have a smaller community within the alumni community. Ning also allows you to block people who don’t belong in the group.
